A collection of business accessories personalized using vintage Royal typewriters. As the project creator I designed the four piece collection with Japanese designer Takuma Kakehi.

Research and design for the business traveler- cords, headphones, passports, documents, boarding passes! So much to organize. We made models and took them on a trip to London and Copenhagen, tested, and re-designed -Draw and Spec the four pieces working with Japanese language assistant

Sourcing two companies to supply the materials within Japan and produce in China.

Handling three rounds of sample making to reach the perfect product -Styling, product photography, and photo editing

Product photography, retouching, and market asset creation.

Raised over $37,000 on Kickstarter to make the collection a reality -Web Advertising Campaign- worked with SAY media to design and launch an advertising campaign running on popular blogs and sites to reach new customers globally.

the metal nameplate used on all four pieces of the collection drew inspiration from vintage filing cabinets- a throwback to office culture and various other id plates
We purchased and restored two vintage Royal typewriters for this project. The Royal typewriter was chosen for its gorgeous shape, variety of colors, and the scores of ad campaigns collected which really helped us understand the typography and feel of the 1960’s office.
Studying upholstery techniques helped us understand the possibilites for the padded laptop bag design. It made for an elegant look and provided protection for the contents within.
